Both principal consultants have completed diversity, equity, and inclusion training through organizations like the Aspen Institute, Collective Impact Forum, Courageous Conversation Academy, Mid-Atlantic ADA Center, YogaRoots on Location, and the American Association of University Women. Our work has focused on strategic and innovative development that promotes equitable, inclusive, and sustainable access to opportunity and mobility. As consultants, we have worked with both small to medium-sized organizations as well as large nonprofit systems, coalitions, and philanthropic foundations, including American Association of Birth Centers, Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges, and The Pittsburgh Foundation. This background well-positions us to provide customized DEIAJ training and strategic support with strong appreciation for diverse audiences, services, and local/national contexts.
Sarah Hansen (they/she):
Partner and Principal Consultant
Sarah Hansen is a certified change management professional. They have spent 15 years working in adult education and workforce development, the last 12 of which have been in the Pittsburgh region. Their work has focused on strategic and innovative development in Pittsburgh’s workforce working toward a reality in which all residents have equitable, inclusive access to opportunity and advancement, and each worker can engage in the paid workplace positively and sustainably as their full, authentic selves.
Prior to founding EnterChange Group, Sarah was Senior Research Associate with HPW Associates, an applied research and consulting firm. Before that, they were Senior Director of Operations at Pennsylvania Women Work, a Pittsburgh-headquartered workforce development agency. There, Sarah provided grants development and program evaluation. Sarah created and led a development strategy that produced a tripling of the organization’s budget over four years and Sarah’s promotion to Senior Director of Operations. As Senior Director, Sarah’s responsibilities expanded to focus on strategic planning, resource acquisition, and allocation as well as research and evaluation to support both funding compliance and organizational growth/sustainability. Previously, Sarah served as a Project Coordinator within the University of Pittsburgh’s Institute for International Studies in Education and as Program Coordinator of Mechatronics/Natural Gas Technology within Community College of Allegheny County’s workforce development division.

Sarah holds a master’s degree in Performance Studies from the University of Maryland and a PhD in Higher Education Management from the University of Pittsburgh, where their studies focused on organizational development, change management, and disruptive innovation. They have led and co-led ethnographic, qualitative, and mixed methods research projects, engaging participants via human-centered and dignity-honoring approaches. Sarah has conducted original research with youth participants in a behavioral health study, people who identify as female in studying the performance of identity on college campuses, and adults of diverse identities and backgrounds who have shared their lived experiences and expertise for community-based projects and needs assessments.
Sarah is also a professor in the University’s Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies program. Courses Sarah has taught include Intro to GSWS, Gender and Leadership, and they also originated the course Gender in the Professions, which examines gender and sexuality as they relate to individuals’ intersecting identities, interpersonal interactions, and professional systems.
Sarah serves as Co-Chair of the Gender Analysis Committee and 2nd Vice Chair of the City of Pittsburgh’s Gender Equity Commission. They were honored in 2018 as one of Pittsburgh Magazine's 40 Under 40. When not working or volunteering, Sarah can be found playing drums and singing with the Renaissance City Choir or relaxing with their husband, Sean, and their three cats.
Amanda Neatrour (she/hers): Partner and Principal Consultant
Amanda Neatrour has over 10 years of experience as a community activist, and equity professional and trainer. She has been recognized for her contributions to the arts, has held several positions in City government and in academia, and has been a member of several neighborhood commissions. The advancement of equity for all Pittsburghers has been central to her professional, personal, and artistic work and activism.
Before joining EnterChange Group, Amanda was the inaugural Director of the Center for Equity and Professional Advancement at Robert Morris University. Prior to this, she spent over four years working with the Women’s Leadership and Mentorship Program as Program Manager, and then Program Director where she managed and supported a multi-level, formal mentoring program, engaged in fund development to support special initiatives, and supported the leadership and professional development of 100 high achieving college women students. As the center director, Amanda took the achievements of the WLMP, and expanded key efforts to support additional scholarship, leadership, and professional focused programming to support students from socially marginalized communities, and support efforts to make RMU a more equitable and inclusive campus. Amanda also serves as the co-chair for the President’s Anti-Racism Task Force at RMU.
Prior to her work at RMU, Amanda held several positions with the City of Pittsburgh, including the Diversity and Inclusion Employment Coordinator in the Department of Human Resources where she coordinated recruitment efforts, inclusive workforce development strategies, updated policies, and created and facilitated training to advance diversity, inclusion, and equity within the City workforce.

Amanda is also a certified trainer with a client list including corporate, government, non-profit, and the higher education sectors. Her training expertise includes gender identity and expression, ADA compliance and disability awareness, customer experience, equity in the workforce, and creating safer spaces. Amanda has been invited by organizations to serve as an expert panelist on topics such as equity in the arts, leadership development, racial inequities, workforce equity, and conflict resolution. Additional community service and appointments include her participation as a member of the Lawrenceville Community Land Trust Committee, the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council Learning and Research Committee for racial equity in arts funding, and present work including Demaskus Theater Collective Advisory Board, and a Mayoral appointment to the Pittsburgh Gender Equity Commission for which she is the current Chair.
She is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, DC where she earned a B.Mus. and M.Mus in classical voice performance/opera, of Robert Morris University where she earned an MBA and graduate certificate in project management, and of the Accademia Dell’arte Theater and opera program in Arezzo, Italy. Honors include: August Wilson Center Fellowship - 2010, The Presidential Service Award for community service - 2010, BNY Mellon artist of the Year – 2015, Pittsburgh’s 40 Under 40 – 2019, New Pittsburgh Courier Woman of Excellence – 2019, Pittsburgh Athena Award Finalist – 2021. Amanda Neatrour held the titles Miss Black District of Columbia USA 2008, and Miss District of Columbia International 2009 where she worked to highlight the continued struggles of survivors of sexual assault, assault, and violence.
